The PCI-100 hardware bridges your hardware and the ScanWorks platform. The PCI-based scan hardware is available with all ScanWorks Boundary Scan stations and provides a controller interface to test and/or program attached circuit boards.

The throughput is fast enough for most applications and it can be interfaced to most boards being tested. During the design/debug or the field service stage of your product's life cycle, the PCI-100 controller card provides you with a robust and flexible interface from your host test platform to your board. It is fast enough to provide maximum scan throughput to all but the most highly optimized scan paths, yet inexpensive enough to be used in high volume production. By using the same controller in design/debug test development and manufacturing, you eliminate any question of compatibility.

The PCI-100 controller card can be installed into any PCI slot of an IBM-compatible personal computer. Additional cards can be added to your system. ScanWorks supports up to eight controller cards per system.

The Single Port Boundary Scan Interface Pod that comes with this kit extend the range of voltages supported by the controllers to 1.8V-5.0V and lengthen the allowable distance between the PC and the UUT. It provides an interface for a configuration where the ScanWorks JTAG tester is not in close proximity to the board being tested and supports automatic voltage selection.

The PCI Controller Card and Pod are built to commercial environmental standards for the U.S. and Europe. The pod is EMI shielded to eliminate noise in a laboratory or manufacturing environment.
